Induflex' history

Induflex was founded by Lis Larsen in Øster Hornum in 1989. At that time, Induflex consisted of four employees, specializing in sawing, CNC milling, and turning of plastic.

Since then, things have progressed rapidly. We have more than tenfold increased our workforce, outgrown our facilities, and expanded our machinery and expertise several times in response to our customers' needs.

First step towards growth

At the end of 1996, Induflex took its first major step towards growth by purchasing an industrial building in Støvring measuring 1,050 m².

The company had now grown to five employees. Shortly after the move, the company invested in a new CNC machining center.

In the autumn of 1998, Induflex became one of the first in Denmark to start laser cutting plastics. Not long after, the company made further investments in another CNC machining center and additional equipment for plastic processing, including new sawing equipment, a CNC lathe, a thickness planer, a diamond edge polishing machine, bending equipment, and UV gluing equipment.

Expanding

the production

In the spring of 2001, the employee count had grown to 15, and a third laser cutter was installed in a new extension of 1,400 m². This expanded the production area to 1,400 m², equipped with the latest production technology in the industry.

With an increasing order intake, Induflex once again faced space constraints. Therefore, in August 2006, the company broke ground on yet another extension, and by the end of December, an additional hall of 468 m² was ready.

2006 was also the year when Induflex won its first Gazelle Award, followed by its second in 2008.

Current facilities
and investments

In the summer of 2010, Lis Larsen's son, Rico Larsen, who is now the owner and director of Induflex, became a partner in the company.

In the fall of 2012, the company purchased its current premises—specifically, the property at Hagensvej 25 in Støvring, spanning 4,500 m².

This marked the beginning of a production overhaul, with the addition of eight brand-new machines from 2012 to 2016, including a cutting plotter and several CNC machining machines.

As the first significant step in optimizing production processes, Induflex invested in a completely new automatic plate warehouse in the fall of 2017. In December of that same year, the company welcomed its 30th employee.

Anniversary

and investments

In 2018, Induflex won its third Gazelle Award, which was celebrated the following year in 2019, when employees and owners came together to celebrate Induflex's 30th anniversary with a grand party attended by over 150 guests at Hagensvej.

Between 2022 and 2024, further investments were made in the machinery, including the addition of two new CNC milling machines, a new CNC lathe, and two collaborative robots.

New ownership and board

As of January 1, 2020, Rico Larsen took over 100 percent ownership of Induflex, and in the spring of 2020, Induflex established a professional board of directors.

In 2023, the board was expanded to include Anne Hedegaard, whose expertise in ESG and sustainability aims to assist the company with its future sustainability strategy.

Today, we have more than 40 employees and a machine park with over 20 machines.
